- With the naming of Winter Storm Caleb this weekend, it became the earliest named C storm since The Weather Channel started winter storm naming. On average, the C storm develops during the final week of November. The previous earliest C storm was 2015’s Cara which was named on November 26th.
- Monday, November 11th, St. Louis, MO had a record snowfall of 1.5”. This breaks the old record of 1.0” set on this day in 1911.
- Detroit, MI had their snowiest November day on record on Monday, November 11th with 8.5”. This breaks the old November record of 6.2” set in 1925.
- On Tuesday, November 12th, the temperature in Atlanta, GA chilled to at or below freezing (31° at 7 PM) for the first time since March 5th and 6th (27°). That’s a stretch of 249 days and ranks as the 30th longest.
