  • An EF0 tornado was confirmed north of Phoenix, AZ on Monday, September 23. This is the first tornado to be confirmed in the state of Arizona since October 2018!
  • As of Tuesday, September 24, Georgia has had 315 wildfires in September, which is roughly 106% more fires than the state’s five year average for the month.
  • The Winter Storm Watch for the northern plains on Wednesday, September 25 was the first for 2019-2020 winter. 
  • On Thursday, September 27, Montgomery, AL not only broke the daily high temperature record, but also had its 2nd latest 100° day on record (1st latest is 10/6/1954).
