  • Trinity River in Dallas, TX rose to highest level in 27 years on Saturday, September 22. It reached 42.8’, which is the highest level since December 1991 and 8th highest overall!
  • On Saturday, September 22, Tropical Storm Kirk formed at 8.3°N, making it the lowest latitude at which an Atlantic named storm has formed since 1902.
  • Washington DC: On Monday, September 24, the city received enough rain to push the monthly total to 8.54″. That’s more rain this September than the last 5 Septembers combined, and makes it the 6th wettest September on record.
  • On Tuesday, September 25, the northeast received heavy showers. Here are some of the top rainfall amounts:
    • 8.51″ Hamden, CT
    • 7.44″ Totowa, NJ
    • 7.32″ Trumbull, CT
    • 6.96″ Ringwood, NJ
