Jordan Steele

Host, "Weather Today" on Quibi and Co-Host, "AMHQ Early"

Jordan Steele is an Emmy Award-winning meteorologist who joined The Weather Channel in early 2020. Jordan is the weekday host for WEATHER TODAY on Quibi, a short-form mobile video platform. For more than a decade, Jordan has also hosted a variety of programs for local TV stations. 

His career has taken him from the damp Pacific Northwest, to the flash flood alley of Central Texas. Most recently Jordan worked as the Chief Meteorologist for KING 5 in Seattle where he snagged his first Emmy Award for Best Weathercaster in the Pacific Northwest. He also helped the station create a positive news show called TAKE 5, for which they won an Edward R. Murrow Award for Innovation. 

Previously, Jordan spent five years in Austin, Texas forecasting severe weather. He also hosted a lifestyle show called WE ARE AUSTIN. While in the Lone Star State Jordan co-created the magazine Founding Austin where he helped tell stories about entrepreneurs such as Bert Beveridge (the creator of Tito’s Vodka).

Jordan married his high school sweetheart and has three well-energized children. He and his family are huge supporters of the Down syndrome community after their youngest child was born with the condition. A few fun facts about Jordan – he was on the Price Is Right during the Bob Barker days. He also interviewed Tony Robbins and was personally invited to one of his conferences where he walked on coals.
