After heavy overnight rain, our skies are clearing and the sun is out. There was 0.86″ in my rain gauge this morning, and we did hear a few rumbles of thunder last night. A winter storm warning is in effect for the upper peninsula, and up to 3 feet of snow is expected in the western and central areas. Travelers are being warned to wait until Thursday to do any necessary driving. The lower peninsula is expecting mostly rain but strong winds have produced lakeshore flood warnings as well as a wind advisory. So today will be just a good day to hunker down and stay home.
