How come there are more tornados in the U.S. than anywhere else?

It has to do with the geography of our country….in part the Rockies to the west and access to the Gulf to the east!  It’s unique and helps lead to the development of severe weather.

I never knew there were more tornadoes in the U.S. than anywhere else, but I do know they seem to occur in the Mid-West U.S. way more than, for example, the West Coast–North or South!

Or they occur in the South too a lot it seems.
