The front of Autumn that normally introduces cooler air masses seems to be recalcitrant.  It has moved little to the south this month.  Rainfall has been irregular.  The implications of this is that winter 2020 is likely to be warmer than average in the Northeast.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac has prognosticated a mild winter.  I’m leaning towards their forecast.
