The Winter Storm affecting Chicago, and other portions of the North, is continuing to batter it’s way eastward. Chicago is beginning to wind down a bit on it’s snow event, but other portions of the country are just getting started! The maps below are via The National Weather Service, and they show how heavy the precipitation that is falling is.

Most of the areas with Freezing Rain are Southern Ohio and West Virginia, but the snow threat is approaching areas north of that. Light snow amounts in Cleveland, because of that rain/snow mix. All in all, most of the snow is out of Chicago, but many of you are just getting started tonight! Stay safe and warm out there everyone!
Started snowing heavy early morning here in Maine but looks like it is starting to taper off. So far about 4 inches on top of the 3 inches from last week. Last weeks storm started to melt but quickly refroze so any surface not treated is glare ice under the new snow
