Local meteorologists are saying that this cool down will probably be permanent, and temperatures reaching into the 80s will be few and far between.  I’m hoping that they’re wrong although I love the 70s.  This has been a strange August.  We are usually baking in high temperatures, high humidity, and high dew points.  This year has been an exception.  We received a little rain overnight which we really needed, and I see that northern Michigan did also.   They were really dry up there with conditions ripe for wildfires.  Hopefully they got enough to do some good.  We got 0.18 in . . . . . not a lot but better than none.

Our 9:45 AM temperature is 73°F (23°C), the humidity is 82% and winds are from the west at 7 mph.   The dew point is 68°F (20°C) and visibility is 10 miles.  The pressure is 29.77 in (1008.1 mb) and steady.  Skies are cloudy.  Yesterday’s high was 78°F (26°C) and the overnight low was 70°F (21°C).  Averages for this date are 82°F / 57°F.  Sunrise was at 6:55 AM and sunset will be at 8:19 PM.

Today:  Cloudy early with clearing in the afternoon.  High 83°F.  Winds WSW at 10-15 mph.

Tonight:  Clear skies.  Low 58°F.  Winds WSW at 10-15 mph.

Wednesday:  Mostly to partly sunny.  High 73°F.  Winds WSW at 15-25 mph.

Wednesday Night:  Partly cloudy.  Low 53°F.  Winds WSW at 10-20 mph, decreasing overnight.
