I’ve heard that the recently launched Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) aims to improve extreme weather prediction, especially for phenomenon like hurricanes. As a South Floridian, that caught my interest. I’ve heard that meteorologists are excited with the type of data it may provide. Can you elaborate?

Yes, it’s a very cool initiative!  NASA has a great explanation of how it works and the benefits on this site: https://www.nasa.gov/cygnss (the “overview” section is great!). Hope this helps!
