Today began with a heavy frost and clear skies.  Since then, the winds have picked up, clouds have moved in with a little rain.  The picture shows a waterspout near the Mackinaw Bridge from earlier today.   Temperatures are unseasonably cold and it feels like a day in November.  Some areas of the UP have snow cover, up to an inch plus.  Most of us are not quite ready for that yet, but I don’t think that Mother Nature cares much.  It is what it is.

Our 3 PM temperature is 45F (7C), the humidity is 80% and winds are from the NW at 18 mph, gusting to 25 mph.  The dew point is 39F (4C) and the pressure is 30.07 in (1018.3 mb) and falling.  Skies are overcast and we have had a trace of rain so far.  Visibility is 10 miles.  The wind chill is 37F (3C).  Yesterday’s high was 67F (19C) and the overnight low was 28F (-2C).  Averages for this date are 67F /42F.  Sunrise was at 7:51 AM and sunset will be at 6:50 PM.

      DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

This Afternoon:  Showers, mostly before 5 pm.  Some sun.  High 53F.  Winds WSW at 15 mph, gusting to 25 mph.  Chance of rain 40%.

Tonight:  A chance of showers.  Low 32F.  Winds SW at 6-8 mph.  Chance of rain 30%.

Saturday:  Cloudy with a chance of showers.  High 56F.  Winds SSW at 6-15 mph, gusting to 23 mph.  Chance of rain 30%.
