Yesterday was quite uncomfortable even though the temps were a little cooler.  Today will see higher temperatures and possible storms.  We did get a brief shower around 9:30 this morning but it only dropped 0.03″ in my gauge.  There were heavier storms to our north and there are some pretty dramatic pictures of shelf clouds taken in various areas.  The picture that I’m using for my feature image was taken this morning near Birch Run.  I didn’t see one here when I was out and about but the clouds were already breaking up a bit.  We now have partly cloudy skies and rising temps, but more storms are in the forecast for us.

Our 1:30 PM temperature is 86°F (30°C), the humidity is 64%, and winds are from the SSW at 5 mph.  The dew point is 68°F (20°C).  The pressure is 29.86 in and falling.  The UV index is very high at 9.  Yesterday’s high was 83°F (28°C) and the overnight low was 59°F (15°C).  Averages for this date are 82°F / 59°F.  Sunrise was at 6:02 AM and sunset will be at 9:20 PM.

    DURAND / OWOSSO FORECAST:

Today:  Partly cloudy with a 60% chance of a shower or thunderstorm late.  Winds WNW at 8-10 mph.  Rain amounts up to quarter of an inch are possible.

Tonight:  Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms likely.  Low 67°F.  Winds NNE at 5-7 mph.  Chance of rain 60%.  Rain amounts up to half an inch are possible.

Wednesday:  A 30% chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon.  Otherwise, partly sunny.  Winds NE at 5-7 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of a shower or thunderstorm.  Low 67°F.
