Enjoy a New England tradition and see the beauty of the cranberry harvest during this old-fashioned family festival! This festival is in Wareham, Massachusetts, and features demonstrations of the wet cranberry harvest, cooking demonstrations, an enormous tent full of juried crafters, paddleboat rides on scenic Tihonet Pond, food vendors, music, and much more! The Cranberry Harvest Celebration was even designated as one of the top 100 events in North America by the American Bus Association.
The festival is for two days, starting Saturday, October 7, 2017 and ending October 8th.

At this festival, you can celebrate the region’s top winemakers, growers, micro-brewers and culinary artists. The main attraction of the Harvest Fair is the Grand Tasting Pavilion, which features over one-hundred Sonoma County wineries bringing forth their drinks for sampling. Guests are invited to savor innovative cuisine from top chefs, awards winning wines, locally crafted brews, ciders and more!
This year, the Sonoma County Harvest Fair is October 6th – 8th!

The 25th Annual North Carolina Pecan Harvest Festival will be in Whiteville, NC starting November 4th and is a festival all about celebrating pecans. From a festival queen Kathryn Caine Ogden and local Pecan Belles, to showing off Whiteville’s most distinguished houses, the festival offers something for everyone! The festival begins with a fantastic parade and then a free street fair for everyone. It includes food and craft vendors from all over the Carolinas, a fun Kids Block, a spectacular car show and live entertainment throughout the day!

The National Apple Harvest Festival, held during the first two full weekends in October, celebrates beautiful crafts, great music and wonderful food. Over 50 years old, the festival has something for everyone with hundreds of arts and crafts dealers, demonstrations, contests, food stands and entertainment.
The festival is located in the heart of Pennsylvania Apple country, just a few miles from historic Gettysburg. Special attractions include the Apple Auditorium, antique cars, steam engine displays, orchard tours, a petting zoo, craftsman demonstrations, and a special appearance by the Pennsylvania Apple Queen!

The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a yearly festival of hot air balloons that takes place in Albuquerque, New Mexico. For nine days, starting October 7th, the Balloon Fiesta creates an enchanted world of special shape balloon rodeos, twilight balloon glows, and vibrant balloon-filled skies!
In addition to the launching of over 500 hot air balloons, the attractions include a laser light show, car show, fireworks, and much more. The experience of watching hundreds of gentle airy giants take flight has made this festival the most photographed event in the world!

Harvest on the Harbor is Portland, Maine’s annual food and drink festival. From October 17th- 22nd, the festival features a delicious, diverse, and engaging line up of events. It’s the perfect event for lovers of local food, beer, wine, and cocktails. Harvest on the Harbor brings hundreds of local artisans to the forefront, with competitions that include “Best Farm-to-Table Restaurant” and “Lobster Chef of the Year.” Along with the many traditional food tastings, there will be a barbecue extravaganza featuring the top grill masters, local beers, live music and entertainment, and more!

While autumn tends to brings forth a variety of different types of festivals, the Grilled Cheese Festival is definitely unique! The 2017 Atlanta Grilled Cheese Festival is happening Saturday October 7th, in the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark in Atlanta. Not only will some of the best restaurants in the biz battle it out for the ultimate grilled cheese champion, but festival goers can taste and vote on the winner. In addition to eating the gooiest and tastiest grilled cheese in the country, there will also be craft brews, live music, and tons of entertainment!
